  • 1/4 cup whole almonds
  • 1/2 tsp ghee
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 1 cup milk

Method
  1. 1Microwave 1/4 cup whole almonds in water for 2 minutes, then peel and roughly crush using a mortar and pestle.
  2. 2Melt 1/2 tsp ghee in a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3Add 1/8 tsp turmeric powder to the ghee and mix well.
  4. 4Add 1 tbsp chickpea flour (besan) to the skillet and roast, stirring continuously, until golden brown and fragrant.
  5. 5Pour in 1 cup milk and add the crushed almonds to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  6. 6Increase heat to bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. 7Reduce flame and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sheera thickens.
  8. 8Add sugar to taste and mix thoroughly.
  9. 9Turn off the heat and serve immediately.
