Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup atta
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1.5 tsp vinegar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Milka Hazelnut milk chocolate bar
Method
  1. 1Combine lukewarm milk and vinegar in a bowl to make buttermilk, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. 2Add oil to the buttermilk mixture and whisk well.
  3. 3Sift whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda into the wet mixture.
  4. 4Whisk all ingredients together until a smooth, dark brown batter is formed.
  5. 5Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
  6. 6Pour the batter into a parchment-lined loaf pan and gently tap to settle.
  7. 7Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  8. 8Demold the cake onto a cutting board after 2 minutes.
  9. 9Immediately place the whole Milka Hazelnut chocolate bar on top of the warm cake.
  10. 10Let the cake cool for 15 minutes, allowing the chocolate bar to melt and spread.
  11. 11Slice the cake into thick portions and enjoy.
