Ingredients
- 3/4 cup atta
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1.5 tsp vinegar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1 Milka Hazelnut milk chocolate bar
Method
- 1Combine lukewarm milk and vinegar in a bowl to make buttermilk, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 2Add oil to the buttermilk mixture and whisk well.
- 3Sift whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda into the wet mixture.
- 4Whisk all ingredients together until a smooth, dark brown batter is formed.
- 5Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
- 6Pour the batter into a parchment-lined loaf pan and gently tap to settle.
- 7Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- 8Demold the cake onto a cutting board after 2 minutes.
- 9Immediately place the whole Milka Hazelnut chocolate bar on top of the warm cake.
- 10Let the cake cool for 15 minutes, allowing the chocolate bar to melt and spread.
- 11Slice the cake into thick portions and enjoy.
