Method
  1. 1Pour 1 liter milk into a pot, reserving 1/2 cup.
  2. 2Bring the milk to a boil on the stovetop.
  3. 3Add 1/4 cup roasted vermicelli and cook for 5 minutes until soft.
  4. 4Stir in condensed milk to desired sweetness, then cook for 3-4 more minutes.
  5. 5In a separate cup, mix 1/2 cup reserved milk with 4 tbsp custard powder and 1/4 tsp cardamom powder until smooth.
  6. 6Slowly pour the custard slurry into the pot while continuously stirring.
  7. 7Cook on low heat with constant stirring until the custard thickens to a creamy consistency.
  8. 8Serve chilled, garnished with ground pistachios and chopped almonds.
