Ingredients
  • 50 g tamarind
  • 1 litre water
  • 50 g coconut pieces
  • 50 g raw mango (chopped)
  • 1 banana (chopped)
  • 80 g jaggery
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 15 g neem flowers
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
Method
  1. 1Squeeze the soaked tamarind well to extract the pulp.
  2. 2Strain the extracted tamarind liquid through a sieve into a bowl, adding more water and straining to get maximum extract.
  3. 3Add 15 g finely crushed neem flowers to the tamarind extract.
  4. 4Stir 50 g chopped raw mango pieces into the mixture.
  5. 5Incorporate 50 g chopped coconut pieces.
  6. 6Add 2 finely chopped green chillies, lightly crushing them by hand before adding.
  7. 7Sprinkle 1 pinch salt into the mixture.
  8. 8Add 80 g crushed jaggery for sweetness.
  9. 9Put in ½ tsp chilli powder.
  10. 10Add 1 chopped banana pieces.
  11. 11Thoroughly mix all ingredients with a spoon until the jaggery dissolves.
  12. 12Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or spice if needed.
  13. 13Serve fresh.
