  • 2 blocks firm white tofu
  • 2-3 tablespoons cornflour/cornstarch

  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon mixed black and white sesame seeds
  • 2 circular flatbreads/wraps
  • Shredded white cabbage
  • Shredded orange carrots
  • Thinly sliced red onions
  • Thinly sliced green bell peppers
  • Diced red tomatoes
  • Creamy orange dressing
Method
  1. 1Slice blocks of white tofu into evenly sized rectangular pieces on a wooden cutting board.
  2. 2Place the sliced tofu into a bowl and coat thoroughly with cornflour or cornstarch.
  3. 3Pan-fry the coated tofu pieces in a small amount of oil until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  4. 4Prepare the sauce in a small bowl by mixing soy sauce, red chilli sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame seeds.
  5. 5Pour the prepared sauce into the pan with the golden brown tofu and toss or stir to coat and glaze the tofu.
  6. 6Transfer the sauced tofu from the pan into a separate bowl.
  7. 7Lay out a flatbread on a wooden board and place the sauced tofu pieces down the center.
  8. 8Layer generous amounts of shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced red onions, sliced green bell peppers, and diced tomatoes on top of the tofu.
  9. 9Drizzle the creamy orange dressing over the entire filling.
  10. 10Fold the sides of the wrap over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a compact burrito-like shape.
  11. 11Briefly heat the assembled wrap in a dry pan to warm it through and lightly toast the outside.
  12. 12Wrap the warmed wrap in parchment paper to secure it.
  13. 13Cut the assembled wrap diagonally in half, revealing the colorful cross-section.
