Ingredients
  • 1 whole peeled pineapple
  • Approximately 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • Approximately 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • A pinch white salt
  • A drizzle clear oil
Method
  1. 1Combine cinnamon powder, red chili powder, salt, and oil in a small bowl.
  2. 2Thoroughly mix the ingredients with a silicone brush to form a smooth, reddish-brown paste.
  3. 3Place a whole, peeled, and scored pineapple vertically on a cake stand.
  4. 4Insert a long metal skewer through the center of the pineapple.
  5. 5Generously coat the pineapple all over with the prepared spice paste using the silicone brush.
  6. 6Roast the marinated pineapple over a gas burner on a portable grill.
  7. 7Continuously rotate the pineapple to ensure even cooking and charring on all sides.
  8. 8Once adequately roasted and charred, return the pineapple on the skewer to the cake stand.
  9. 9Slice the cooked pineapple flesh from the core using a specialized cutting tool to yield thick pieces.
  10. 10Serve the Tandoori Pineapple pieces in a small bowl.
