  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 cups water

Method
  1. 1Add 1 cup rolled oats to a cooking pot.
  2. 2Add 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries to the pot.
  3. 3Add ½ tsp vanilla essence to the pot.
  4. 4Pour 2 cups of water into the pot, submerging the oats and strawberries.
  5. 5Stir the mixture gently with a spatula to combine the ingredients.
  6. 6Cover the pot with a lid and cook on a low flame for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and strawberries break down.
  7. 7Once the oatmeal has reached a thick, creamy consistency, sprinkle granulated sugar to taste over it.
  8. 8Stir the sugar thoroughly into the hot oatmeal until fully incorporated, lightly mashing the strawberries.
  9. 9Spoon the cooked oatmeal into a serving bowl.
  10. 10Drizzle with 1 tbsp thick coconut cream or regular cream.
  11. 11Arrange a few slices of fresh strawberries and a decorative swirl of 2 tsp condensed milk (optional) on top.
  12. 12Sprinkle 1 tbsp flaked almonds over the oatmeal before serving.
