Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
  1. 1Combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. 2Add yogurt and cooking oil, then gradually add water while kneading until a soft, pliable dough forms.
  3. 3Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 3 hours.
  4. 4Heat a pan with a small amount of oil, add diced tomatoes, salt, sugar, Italian herbs, and red chili flakes. Cook and stir until tomatoes soften and a thick sauce forms.
  5. 5Transfer the marinara sauce to a separate bowl.
  6. 6In the same pan, sauté diced green bell peppers and sliced mushrooms for a short time until slightly softened.
  7. 7Roll a portion of the rested dough into a smooth ball and then flatten it into an 8.5 to 9-inch circle.
  8. 8Place the rolled dough crust into the pan, cook briefly on one side, then flip.
  9. 9Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the cooked side of the crust.
  10. 10Top with a generous handful of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by the sautéed mushrooms and bell peppers.
  11. 11Cover the pan and cook on the stovetop until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is cooked through.
