Ingredients
  • 560 gm cauliflower cut into small florets
  • 60 gm/1/3rd cup frozen green peas
  • 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 2 to 3 fresh green chillies
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp bhaja masala
  • Chopped coriander leaves (cilantro)
  • 2 tbsp oil
Method
  1. 1Heat 2 tbsp oil over medium heat in a pan.
  2. 2Add black mustard seeds and cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
  3. 3Add cauliflower florets and turmeric powder, then stir for a minute.
  4. 4Add salt, stir for a few minutes, then cover the pan and cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5Once the cauliflower starts getting tender, add green chillies and cook further with the pan partially covered.
  6. 6When the cauliflower is nearly done, add frozen green peas and partially cover the pan for 2 minutes.
  7. 7Uncover the pan, increase the heat to medium-high, and allow the cauliflower to get slightly browned.
  8. 8Add bhaja masala, fresh lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves, then give a brief stir.
  9. 9Serve this delicious stir-fried cauliflower and green peas as a side dish.
