Ingredients
- 560 gm cauliflower cut into small florets
- 60 gm/1/3rd cup frozen green peas
- 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt or as per taste
- 2 to 3 fresh green chillies
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp bhaja masala
- Chopped coriander leaves (cilantro)
- 2 tbsp oil
Method
- 1Heat 2 tbsp oil over medium heat in a pan.
- 2Add black mustard seeds and cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
- 3Add cauliflower florets and turmeric powder, then stir for a minute.
- 4Add salt, stir for a few minutes, then cover the pan and cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
- 5Once the cauliflower starts getting tender, add green chillies and cook further with the pan partially covered.
- 6When the cauliflower is nearly done, add frozen green peas and partially cover the pan for 2 minutes.
- 7Uncover the pan, increase the heat to medium-high, and allow the cauliflower to get slightly browned.
- 8Add bhaja masala, fresh lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves, then give a brief stir.
- 9Serve this delicious stir-fried cauliflower and green peas as a side dish.
