  • 1.5 to 2 cups makhana
  • 2 tablespoons ghee

Method
  1. 1Heat a black non-stick frying pan on an electric stove or hot plate.
  2. 2Add 1 tablespoon of ghee to the hot pan and allow it to melt.
  3. 3Pour the raw makhana into the pan with the melted ghee.
  4. 4Continuously stir and toss the makhana with a wooden spatula over medium heat, shaking the pan for even roasting.
  5. 5Roast the makhana until they become crisp and crunchy.
  6. 6Add another tablespoon of ghee to the pan.
  7. 7Immediately add 1/2 teaspoon each of chaat masala, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, and mint powder.
  8. 8Thoroughly toss and stir the makhana in the pan to evenly coat them with ghee and spices.
  9. 9Scoop the fully coated roasted makhana out of the pan and transfer them to a serving bowl.
