Ingredients
- Approximately 1/4 to 1/3 cup diced mango
- About 1-2 tablespoons honey
- Three generous spoonfuls sabja (basil seeds), pre-soaked in water
- A small handful fresh mint leaves
- Four large ice cubes
- Approximately 1.5-2 cups coconut water
- A few fresh basil leaves
Method
- 1Place the diced mango pieces at the bottom of a tall, clear, can-shaped glass.
- 2Use a wooden muddler to vigorously mash and crush the mangoes into a pulpy texture.
- 3Pour honey over the mashed mangoes and muddle again to combine the sweet honey with the tangy mango.
- 4Carefully layer three spoonfuls of pre-soaked sabja seeds on top of the mango-honey mixture.
- 5Add several fresh mint leaves next, nestled on the sabja layer.
- 6Drop four large ice cubes into the glass, filling the space above the mint leaves.
- 7Pour coconut water over the ice and other ingredients, filling the glass almost to the brim.
- 8Garnish the drink with a few fresh basil leaves.
- 9Insert a metal straw and thoroughly stir the drink to mix all the layered components before tasting.
