Ingredients
  • One small green raw mango
  • One small red onion
  • Approximately 2-3 green chilies
  • Approximately 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Approximately 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Approximately 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • About 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons fresh pomegranate seeds
Method
  1. 1Peel the raw green mango.
  2. 2Shred the peeled mango into thin, long juliennes (laccha) directly into a light grey bowl using a serrated peeler.
  3. 3Thinly slice one small red onion into half-moons on a wooden chopping board.
  4. 4Add the sliced onion to the bowl with the mango juliennes.
  5. 5Finely chop the green chilies on the wooden board.
  6. 6Add the chopped green chilies to the bowl.
  7. 7Sprinkle salt, red chili powder, and chaat masala over the mango, onion, and chili mixture in the bowl.
  8. 8Add freshly chopped coriander leaves to the bowl.
  9. 9Thoroughly mix all the ingredients in the bowl using a wooden spoon until the spices and herbs are evenly distributed.
  10. 10Sprinkle fresh pomegranate seeds generously over the mixed salad for garnish.
