Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon nigella seeds
- 1 cup carrots cut in long strips
- 1 cup green beans cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bell peppers cut in long strips (yellow and green)
- 1 tablespoon ginger julienned
- 2 green chilies sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 medium tomato chopped
- 1 cup paneer cut in long strips
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons Cilantro chopped
Method
- 1Heat approximately 3 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1/2 teaspoon of nigella seeds, and allow them to sizzle.
- 2Add about 1 cup of carrots cut into long strips to the pan and stir for approximately one minute.
- 3Add about 1 cup of green beans cut into 1-inch pieces to the pan along with approximately 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir for about a minute and a half.
- 4Add about 1 cup of yellow and green bell peppers cut into long strips, 1 tablespoon of julienned ginger, 1-2 sliced green chilies, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Stir thoroughly.
- 5Add 1 medium chopped tomato and about 1 cup of paneer cut into long strips to the pan and stir to combine.
- 6Stir in approximately 1 teaspoon of garam masala and 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped cilantro.
- 7Stir briefly and serve the Paneer Jalfrezi hot.
