Ingredients
- 1-2 tbsp oil
- 1 block (approx. 400g) cubed tofu
- 2-3 small chopped shallots
- 3-4 cloves minced garlic
- 8 oz (approx. 225g) pre-soaked flat rice noodles
- 1/2 cup Tao Jiew based sauce
- 1 cup fresh bean sprouts
- 1/2 bunch chopped Chinese chives
Method
- 1Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- 2Add cubed tofu, chopped shallots, and minced garlic to the hot oil and stir-fry until fragrant.
- 3Add pre-prepared flat rice noodles to the pan with the aromatics.
- 4Pour a generous amount of the brown 'tao jiew' based sauce over the noodles.
- 5Vigorously stir and toss the mixture to ensure noodles are thoroughly coated and cooked through.
- 6Introduce fresh bean sprouts and mix them into the noodles.
- 7Finally, add the chopped Chinese chives and toss briefly before serving.
