Ingredients
- 130g bread flour
- 6g baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 130g high protein yoghurt
Method
- 1Pour bread flour into a mixing bowl.
- 2Add baking powder and salt to the flour and mix the dry ingredients with a fork.
- 3Add yogurt to the dry ingredients and use hands to mix and bring them together, forming a soft dough.
- 4Briefly press and shape the dough into a ball within the bowl.
- 5Place the dough ball on a cutting board and cut it into four equal portions with a knife.
- 6Roll each dough portion into a small, smooth ball.
- 7Dust a wooden board with flour and place one dough ball on it, then roll it out into a thin, flat, round disc using a rolling pin.
- 8Place a round metal mold over the rolled dough and trim off the excess edges with a knife to ensure a perfect circle.
- 9Heat a non-stick pan on a gas stove.
- 10Carefully place a rolled-out pita bread onto the hot pan.
- 11Cook until small bubbles appear on the surface and the bread starts to puff up, then flip it with a spatula.
- 12Continue to flip and lightly press the pita bread on the hot pan until both sides develop golden-brown spots and it is fully cooked and puffed.
- 13Remove the cooked pita bread from the pan and place it on a wooden serving board.
