Ingredients
  • 130g bread flour
  • 6g baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 130g high protein yoghurt
Method
  1. 1Pour bread flour into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Add baking powder and salt to the flour and mix the dry ingredients with a fork.
  3. 3Add yogurt to the dry ingredients and use hands to mix and bring them together, forming a soft dough.
  4. 4Briefly press and shape the dough into a ball within the bowl.
  5. 5Place the dough ball on a cutting board and cut it into four equal portions with a knife.
  6. 6Roll each dough portion into a small, smooth ball.
  7. 7Dust a wooden board with flour and place one dough ball on it, then roll it out into a thin, flat, round disc using a rolling pin.
  8. 8Place a round metal mold over the rolled dough and trim off the excess edges with a knife to ensure a perfect circle.
  9. 9Heat a non-stick pan on a gas stove.
  10. 10Carefully place a rolled-out pita bread onto the hot pan.
  11. 11Cook until small bubbles appear on the surface and the bread starts to puff up, then flip it with a spatula.
  12. 12Continue to flip and lightly press the pita bread on the hot pan until both sides develop golden-brown spots and it is fully cooked and puffed.
  13. 13Remove the cooked pita bread from the pan and place it on a wooden serving board.
