Ingredients

  • ¾ oz. Cointreau
  • ½ oz. Campari
  • 2 tsp. Agave
  • Ice

Method
  1. 1Introduce the cocktail as 'Mezcal Campari Margarita' or 'The Hola Ciao'.
  2. 2Pour 2 oz. Mezcal into a silver metal cocktail shaker using a jigger.
  3. 3Add 1 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice, measured with a jigger, to the shaker.
  4. 4Pour ¾ oz. Cointreau (orange liqueur) into the shaker.
  5. 5Add ½ oz. Campari to the shaker, measured with a jigger (Aperol can be substituted for a sweeter drink).
  6. 6Squeeze 2 tsp. agave syrup into the shaker (adjust amount based on preference for bitterness).
  7. 7Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  8. 8Secure the lid and shake the cocktail vigorously until the shaker is very cold.
  9. 9Strain the mixture from the shaker into a prepared salt-rimmed glass filled with ice.
  10. 10Garnish the drink with a vibrant orange wedge, squeezing it slightly over the drink for extra flavor.
