- 2 oz. Mezcal
- 1 oz. Lime Juice
- ¾ oz. Cointreau
- ½ oz. Campari
- 2 tsp. Agave
- Ice
- Salt for rimming
- 1 Orange wedge for garnish
Method
- 1Introduce the cocktail as 'Mezcal Campari Margarita' or 'The Hola Ciao'.
- 2Pour 2 oz. Mezcal into a silver metal cocktail shaker using a jigger.
- 3Add 1 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice, measured with a jigger, to the shaker.
- 4Pour ¾ oz. Cointreau (orange liqueur) into the shaker.
- 5Add ½ oz. Campari to the shaker, measured with a jigger (Aperol can be substituted for a sweeter drink).
- 6Squeeze 2 tsp. agave syrup into the shaker (adjust amount based on preference for bitterness).
- 7Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
- 8Secure the lid and shake the cocktail vigorously until the shaker is very cold.
- 9Strain the mixture from the shaker into a prepared salt-rimmed glass filled with ice.
- 10Garnish the drink with a vibrant orange wedge, squeezing it slightly over the drink for extra flavor.
