Ingredients
  • 1 block Halloumi cheese
  • 1 tsp dried mint flakes
  • 20-30 square wonton wrappers
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp Za'atar spice mix
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup roasted red pepper sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2-3 round pita bread
  • 1 container Muhummarah dip
  • 1 container Baba Ghanoush dip
  • 1 container Labneh dip
  • 1 cup mini sweet bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1 cup carrot ribbons
  • 1/2 cup sliced radishes
  • 2 tbsp water
Method
  1. 1Slice Halloumi cheese into small sticks.
  2. 2Place a Halloumi stick diagonally on a wonton wrapper, sprinkle with dried mint, moisten edges with water, then fold and seal to form a parcel.
  3. 3Deep fry the wontons until golden and crispy.
  4. 4Unroll puff pastry, brush generously with olive oil, then season heavily with Za'atar.
  5. 5Cut the pastry into small rectangular strips, then twist each strip tightly.
  6. 6Bake the puff pastry twists until golden brown and flaky.
  7. 7Mix roasted red pepper sauce with tomato paste in a small bowl.
  8. 8Brush round pita bread with the red pepper mixture and score into triangles.
  9. 9Bake the pita bread until crispy to form spicy pita chips.
  10. 10Arrange the fried Halloumi wontons, baked Za'atar puff pastry twists, spicy pita chips, store-bought Muhummarah, Baba Ghanoush, and Labneh dips, and fresh vegetables (mini bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, radishes) on a serving board.
