Ingredients
- 2-3 cups chopped mangoes
- A small pinch salt (less than a quarter teaspoon)
- A squeeze fresh lemon or lime juice (from about a quarter to half a small lime)
- A single small sprig fresh mint leaf
Method
- 1Peel mangoes, scoop out the flesh, and chop into roughly 1-inch cubes.
- 2Transfer the chopped mango cubes to a bowl and freeze overnight until solid and frosty.
- 3Transfer the frozen mango cubes to a blender and blend until a thick, pasty consistency forms.
- 4Add a small pinch of salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the mango paste in the blender.
- 5Blend the mixture again until it achieves a very smooth, creamy, and uniform consistency.
- 6Serve the freshly blended mango sorbet immediately for a softer texture or transfer to an ice cream mold and freeze for a few hours for a firmer sorbet.
- 7Scoop the final frozen mango sorbet into a serving bowl and garnish with a small, fresh mint leaf.
