Ingredients
- 2 slices white bread
- 2 slices white processed cheese
- 2 tbsp chunky orange mango pulp
- 1-2 tbsp softened yellow butter
- 1-2 tsp white granulated sugar
- 1-2 tsp clear, light golden honey
Method
- 1Place one slice of bread on a surface.
- 2Layer one slice of cheese, mango pulp, and another slice of cheese on the bread.
- 3Top with the second slice of bread to complete the sandwich.
- 4In a small bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and honey, mixing thoroughly until a pale yellow, slightly chunky paste forms.
- 5Spread a generous amount of this honey-butter mixture evenly over one side of the assembled sandwich.
- 6Place the sandwich carefully into a non-stick frying pan, buttered side down.
- 7While the first side cooks, spread the remaining honey-butter mixture generously over the top, unbuttered side of the sandwich.
- 8Cook the sandwich until the bottom side achieves a deep, glossy, golden-brown caramelized crust and the butter mixture in the pan is bubbling intensely.
- 9Using a spatula, flip the sandwich over to cook the second side.
- 10Cook the second side until it develops a similar deep golden-brown caramelized crust, gently pressing with the spatula to ensure even caramelization.
- 11Remove the sandwich from the pan once both sides are beautifully caramelized and the cheese inside is thoroughly melted and oozing.
- 12Place the cooked sandwich on a cutting board and cut diagonally into two triangular halves.
