Ingredients
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated bottle gourd
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon asafetida
  • 2 whole red chilies
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
  1. 1Heat oil in a pan.
  2. 2Add cumin seeds, asafetida, and red chilies, and let them sizzle.
  3. 3Add grated bottle gourd, chopped cilantro, green chilies, minced ginger, and salt to the pan.
  4. 4Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until the bottle gourd is tender.
  5. 5Set aside the cooked bottle gourd mixture to cool completely.
  6. 6Whisk yogurt in a bowl until smooth.
  7. 7Gradually add milk to the yogurt, mixing until it reaches a smooth, thin consistency.
  8. 8Add the cooled bottle gourd mixture to the prepared yogurt and stir to combine.
  9. 9Serve chilled as a side dish.
