Ingredients
- Brewed coffee (sufficient to fill an ice cube tray)
- Milk (sufficient to fill a glass)
- 1-2 tablespoons vanilla syrup or extract
- Oat milk (sufficient for one mug)
- 2-3 spoonfuls cocoa powder
- Dark chocolate (enough for rich flavor)
- A pinch sea salt
- 3-4 pieces white marshmallows
- A small piece dark chocolate (for garnish)
Method
- 1Brew coffee using a capsule coffee machine and collect the espresso shots.
- 2Pour the brewed coffee into a white plastic ice cube tray and freeze until solid to create coffee ice cubes.
- 3Add the clear golden liquid (vanilla syrup or extract) to a glass of white milk to create vanilla-infused milk.
- 4Scoop several coffee ice cubes into a double-walled transparent glass.
- 5Pour the vanilla-infused milk over the coffee ice cubes.
- 6Stir the iced vanilla coffee with a metal straw to combine the layers.
- 7Pour oat milk into a small stainless steel saucepan.
- 8Add cocoa powder and pieces of dark chocolate to the oat milk.
- 9Add a pinch of sea salt to the mixture.
- 10Place the saucepan on a stove and whisk continuously while heating until the dark chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth, thick, and steaming.
- 11Pour the hot cocoa into a white ceramic mug.
- 12Add 3-4 white marshmallows on top of the hot cocoa as a garnish.
- 13Grate a small piece of dark chocolate directly over the marshmallows and hot cocoa.
