Method
  1. 1Add approximately 1 cup of brown sugar to a stainless steel pan placed on an induction cooktop.
  2. 2Stir the brown sugar continuously with a white silicone spatula as it melts and caramelizes into a dark, bubbly, and thick liquid.
  3. 3Add 1-2 tablespoons of butter to the hot caramel mixture and stir it in quickly until melted.
  4. 4Pour 1/4 to 1/3 cup of heavy cream into the pan and vigorously stir the mixture until it becomes a smooth, thick sauce.
  5. 5Add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to adjust the sauce's consistency, making it slightly thinner and more pourable.
  6. 6Sprinkle a generous pinch of salt into the sauce and stir it in to balance sweetness and enhance flavor until the sauce reaches a smooth, flowing consistency.
  7. 7Place three scoops of vanilla ice cream into a clear glass dessert cup.
  8. 8Drizzle a generous amount of the rich, dark brown sticky toffee sauce over the ice cream.
  9. 9Garnish the dessert with a sprinkle of chopped, roasted almonds.
