Ingredients
- 250 g maida
- 1/2 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 5 tbsp warm milk
- Salt per taste
- 1 tbsp butter
- Water as needed
Method
- 1Add yeast and sugar to warm milk and let it sit for 10 minutes to activate.
- 2In a bowl, add maida and salt.
- 3Pour in the activated yeast mixture, add water as needed, and add softened butter.
- 4Knead the ingredients vigorously by hand for 6-7 minutes to form a soft and pliable dough.
- 5Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 45 minutes.
- 6Grease a tray with butter, then divide the risen dough into 6 equal portions, shape into balls, and place them on the tray.
- 7Lightly grease the shaped buns with melted butter, cover, and let them rest for 30 minutes.
- 8Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
- 9Place the tray with the buns into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 10Serve the baked buns warm, optionally by slicing and generously spreading butter inside.
