Ingredients
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- Roughly 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup ragi flour
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup jaggery powder
- 4-5 whole green cardamom pods
- Less than 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 to 2 cups milk per serving
- 2 teaspoons hot chocolate premix
- 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped dark chocolate
Method
- 1Add cocoa powder to a small blender jar.
- 2Add whole almonds to the same blender jar.
- 3Pour ragi flour into the blender jar.
- 4Add jaggery powder to the mixture.
- 5Drop green cardamom pods into the jar.
- 6Add a tiny pinch of salt to the ingredients in the blender.
- 7Blend all ingredients until they form a fine, uniform brown powder.
- 8Transfer the finished premix from the blender jar into a clear glass storage jar.
- 9Pour milk into a clear glass saucepan and place it on an induction hob.
- 10Add 2 teaspoons of the prepared hot chocolate premix to the milk.
- 11Add chopped dark chocolate to the saucepan.
- 12Continuously stir the mixture with a small whisk while heating on the hob.
- 13Allow the hot chocolate to simmer, thicken, and become frothy as it cooks.
