Ingredients
  • 125 grams green peas
  • 250 grams cauliflower
  • 1 big size onion
  • Cooking oil, quantity not specified
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 small country tomato and 1 medium Bangalore tomato, chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp dhaniya powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 3.5 tsp cashew nuts paste
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • Small handful fresh chopped coriander
Method
  1. 1Heat cooking oil in a kadai over a gas stove.
  2. 2Add finely chopped onions to the hot oil, stir, and cover with a lid to soften until translucent and pale yellow.
  3. 3Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix thoroughly.
  4. 4Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste and stir into the mixture.
  5. 5Add green peas and diced red tomatoes to the kadai.
  6. 6Add salt as per taste, 1 green chilli, 1/4 tsp jeera powder, 1/2 tsp dhaniya powder, and 1/2 tsp chilli powder, then mix well.
  7. 7Add finely grated cauliflower, mix it well, and cook for 10 minutes.
  8. 8Add 3.5 tsp cashew nuts paste and mix well.
  9. 9Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon garam masala over the dish and mix.
  10. 10Add a small handful of fresh, chopped coriander and give the dish a final stir.
  11. 11Cover the kadai with its lid for a very short period to allow the flavors to meld.
