Ingredients
- 50g instant coffee
- 100ml water
- 50g brown sugar
- Milk (lots)
- Ice cubes (several)
Method
- 1Combine instant coffee granules, hot water, and brown sugar in a clear glass mixing bowl.
- 2Whip the mixture with an electric hand mixer until it becomes a frothy, light brown cream with stiff peaks, resembling a mousse or soft-serve ice cream.
- 3Scrape the entire batch of whipped coffee into a square clear glass dish and place a white plastic lid on top.
- 4Freeze the whipped coffee base for later use.
- 5To prepare a serving, add ice cubes to fill about half of an empty clear glass.
- 6Pour white milk over the ice, filling most of the remaining space in the glass.
- 7Scoop a large portion of the pre-prepared, frozen Dalgona coffee mixture with an ice cream scoop and gently place it on top of the milk layer.
- 8Stir the thick, brown whipped coffee into the white milk and ice until it results in a uniformly light brown, creamy cold coffee.
- 9Serve the Dalgona coffee cold.
