Ingredients
- 2-3 medium-sized fresh red tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- A small pinch sea salt
- A small pinch white pepper
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- A handful fresh Italian basil

- 1Place raw, fresh red tomatoes on a round wooden cutting board.
- 2Halve the tomatoes lengthwise and carefully remove the tough, white core from each half using a knife.
- 3Slice the cored tomato halves into wedges, yielding roughly 6-8 wedges per tomato.
- 4Transfer the sliced tomato wedges into a clear glass mixing bowl.
- 5Drizzle olive oil over the tomatoes, followed by apple cider vinegar.
- 6Sprinkle sea salt and white pepper generously over the tomatoes.
- 7Add chilli flakes next to introduce a spicy note.
- 8Scatter freshly chopped or torn basil leaves over the tomatoes.
- 9Gently toss the ingredients in the bowl by hand to ensure everything is well combined and coated with the dressing.
- 10Transfer the mixed tomato salad to a white ceramic serving bowl.
- 11Chill the salad in the refrigerator before serving to enhance its refreshing quality.
