- 1.75 cups flax seed powder
- 1 cup almond powder
- 1 cup cashew powder
- 0.6 cups chopped walnuts
- 0.25 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 0.5 cup water
Method
- 1Dry-roast flax seed powder in a pan.
- 2Add almond powder, cashew powder, and chopped walnuts to the pan and lightly toast.
- 3Mix in cardamom powder with the dry ingredients.
- 4In a separate pan, combine water and sugar, heat, and stir until it boils and forms a clear syrup.
- 5Pour the roasted dry nut and flax seed mixture into the hot syrup.
- 6Stir vigorously until the mixture thickens and is uniformly coated.
- 7Pour the thick mixture onto a greased plate and flatten evenly into a slab.
- 8Wait for 5 minutes, then cut the slab into strips and then into square or rectangular pieces.
- 9Let the burfi cool down to room temperature to fully set.
