  • One cup fennel seeds
  • One cup rock sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 6-8 green cardamom pods
  • 2-3 tablespoons pre-soaked basil seeds
  • A pinch black salt
  • Juice from half a lemon

Method
  1. 1Add fennel seeds, rock sugar, black pepper, and green cardamom pods into a small blender jar.
  2. 2Blend the ingredients until a fine, light green powder is achieved.
  3. 3Transfer the prepared sharbat powder into a clear glass jar for storage.
  4. 4Add approximately two to three tablespoons of the prepared sharbat powder to a tall glass.
  5. 5Add a pinch of black salt to the glass.
  6. 6Add a generous spoonful (about 2-3 tablespoons) of the soaked basil seeds to the glass.
  7. 7Incorporate fresh lemon juice, squeezed from half a lemon.
  8. 8Fill the glass with water.
  9. 9Stir the mixture thoroughly with a long stir stick until all ingredients are well combined and the powder is dissolved.
