Method
  1. 1Chop lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, and red cabbage.
  2. 2Fry or toast bread pieces until golden-brown and crispy.
  3. 3Prepare the dressing by mixing olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, and salt.
  4. 4Empty chopped green lettuce into a large stainless steel serving pan.
  5. 5Add the finely chopped mixed vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, red cabbage) on top of the lettuce in the pan.
  6. 6Mix all the salad ingredients thoroughly to combine.
  7. 7Dress the salad with the prepared dressing.
  8. 8Garnish the final salad with a generous scattering of pomegranate seeds.
  9. 9Sprinkle finely chopped fresh green herbs, likely parsley and mint, over the salad.
  10. 10Serve the Fattoush on a platter with the crispy fried bread pieces alongside.
