Ingredients
- Approximately 1 cup granulated white sugar
- About 2-3 tablespoons instant coffee powder
- Approximately 1/2 cup hot water
- Sufficient quantity cold milk per serving
Method
- 1Combine granulated sugar, instant coffee powder, and hot water in a clear glass mixing bowl.
- 2Vigorously whip the mixture with an electric hand mixer until it lightens in color, develops a thick, creamy, frothy texture, and increases in volume.
- 3Pour the whipped coffee concentrate into a rectangular clear glass container.
- 4Use a white silicone spatula to smooth and level the top surface of the concentrate in the container.
- 5Place the container into a freezer to allow the concentrate to firm up.
- 6When ready to serve, remove the firm, frozen coffee concentrate from the freezer.
- 7Scoop several portions of the solidified coffee concentrate into a tall serving glass.
- 8Pour cold milk into the glass over the scooped coffee concentrate.
- 9Stir the mixture with a long spoon until the coffee concentrate partially dissolves and combines with the milk, forming a uniformly light brown, frothy cold coffee.
