Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup water
- 1-2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 1-2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
- 1-2 teaspoons monk fruit sweetener
- 1 cup milk
- A few drops vanilla extract
Method
- 1Boil some water in a small yellow pot on a gas stove.
- 2Bloom gelatin by pouring a small amount of water over it in a tiny clear bowl and stirring with a fork until it thickens.
- 3Add the bloomed gelatin, instant coffee powder, and monk fruit sweetener to the hot water in the yellow pot.
- 4Thoroughly whisk the mixture to ensure all ingredients are fully dissolved.
- 5Pour the hot coffee mixture into a clear, geometric drinking glass.
- 6Set aside or refrigerate the glass to allow the coffee to gel and firm up.
- 7Pour about 1 cup of white milk into a clear measuring cup.
- 8Add monk fruit sweetener and a few drops of vanilla extract to the milk.
- 9Using a small whisk, vigorously whisk the milk mixture until it becomes frothy.
- 10Once the coffee jelly in the glass has set and is firm, pour the frothy vanilla milk gently over the jelly layer.
- 11Take a long spoon and stir the drink, breaking the solid coffee jelly into smaller, irregular pieces that mix and suspend within the vanilla milk.
