- 1 coconut
- 1/4th cup water

Method
- 1Break the whole coconut into two halves.
- 2Grate the white flesh from the coconut using either a traditional or an electric grater.
- 3Transfer the freshly grated coconut and 1/4th cup water into a blender or mixer grinder jar.
- 4Blend the mixture until smooth, ensuring a thick consistency and adding more water if needed for maximum milk extraction.
- 5Place a nut milk bag or a clean cloth over a metal sieve, which is set on a clear glass bowl.
- 6Pour the blended coconut mixture into the bag or cloth.
- 7Firmly squeeze the bag with both hands to strain and extract the liquid coconut milk into the bowl below.
- 8Pour the fresh coconut milk into a glass.
- 9Optionally, add sugar and ice cubes to the coconut milk for a sweet and chilled flavor.
