- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup almond powder
- 1 pinch cardamom powder
Method
- 1Place shredded coconut in a pan over medium heat.
- 2Add granulated sugar to the pan and stir continuously.
- 3Cook until sugar melts and mixture bubbles, about 3 minutes.
- 4Add almond powder and cardamom powder to the mixture.
- 5Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and forms a soft dough, leaving the pan sides.
- 6Transfer the warm mixture onto a plate and press into an even square shape.
- 7While still warm, cut the burfi into small square pieces.
- 8Allow the burfi to cool completely to room temperature before serving.
