Ingredients
  • 1.5 to 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • A small piece ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 thin slices fresh lemon
Method
  1. 1Pour water into a small, stainless steel saucepan placed on a gas stove with a blue flame.
  2. 2Add a spoonful of whole cloves and a small piece of ginger to the water.
  3. 3Allow the mixture to simmer for a short period until the water gradually changes color to a light yellowish-brown.
  4. 4Remove the pan from the heat.
  5. 5Strain the spiced liquid through a fine-mesh metal sieve directly into a clear glass teacup.
  6. 6Pour a stream of golden honey into the cup to sweeten the tea.
  7. 7Stir the tea with a spoon to thoroughly mix the honey.
  8. 8Gently place two thin slices of lemon into the tea.
