Ingredients
- Approximately 2-3 cups of raw quinoa
- About 2-3 cups of rolled oats
- Water for rinsing and cooking quinoa (approx. a 2:1 ratio of water to quinoa for cooking)
- Roughly 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- About 1/4 cup honey
- Around 1/2 cup peanut butter
- A small pinch of salt
- A pinch of cinnamon powder
Method
- 1Pour raw quinoa into a bowl and thoroughly rinse with water twice to remove any bitterness.
- 2Transfer the rinsed quinoa to a cooking pot, add water (approximately a 2:1 ratio of water to quinoa), cover, and cook until the quinoa is fluffy and all water is absorbed.
- 3Add rolled oats to a blender jar and process until they form a fine powder.
- 4Combine the cooked quinoa and ground oats in the blender jar.
- 5Add cocoa powder, honey, peanut butter, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon powder to the mixture in the blender.
- 6Blend all ingredients together until they form a thick, dark brown, paste-like dough.
- 7Scoop the prepared dough onto a plate.
- 8Take small portions of the dough and roll them between your palms to create uniform, small, round balls.
- 9Place the small balls neatly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- 10Put the tray into a preheated oven for baking.
- 11Remove the finished "chocos" from the oven after they appear crispier and slightly darker in color.
- 12Pour the baked "chocos" into a clean glass jar for storage.
- 13Serve the homemade chocos by placing them in a white bowl and pouring milk over them.
