Ingredients
- 100g walnuts
- 400g condensed milk
- 150g dark chocolate
Method
- 1Pour whole walnuts into a non-stick pan and dry-roast them over a low flame, stirring until fragrant.
- 2Transfer the roasted walnuts to a cutting board, coarsely chop them, and set aside a portion for garnish.
- 3Pour condensed milk into a clean non-stick pan and add the pre-chopped dark chocolate.
- 4Continuously stir the mixture over a low to medium flame until the chocolate melts, blends with condensed milk, and thickens to a glossy dark brown paste that pulls away from the pan sides.
- 5Add the majority of the chopped walnuts to the thickened chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly until evenly distributed.
- 6Transfer the chocolate walnut mixture into a square metal tin lined with parchment paper, then spread and press it evenly.
- 7Sprinkle the remaining chopped walnuts generously over the top of the fudge mixture.
- 8Chill the fudge in the tin for four to five hours until completely set.
- 9Once set, remove the solid fudge block from the tin and place it on a cutting board.
- 10Cut the fudge into uniform square pieces and arrange them on a platter for serving.
