Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken breast
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp jeera powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 onion
- A pinch of salt (for vegetables)
- Cooking spray
Method
- 1Place sliced chicken strips in a bowl and squeeze juice from half a lime over them.
- 2Pour the pre-mixed blend of paprika, jeera powder, red chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
- 3Thoroughly mix the chicken and spices by hand until evenly coated and the chicken turns a reddish-orange hue.
- 4Spray an air fryer basket with cooking oil, spread the marinated chicken strips evenly in a single layer, and spray with more cooking oil.
- 5Air fry the chicken at 190c for 10-11 minutes.
- 6While chicken is cooking, slice red and yellow bell peppers and red onion into thin strips.
- 7Place a non-stick pan on a gas stove, spray with cooking oil, and add the sliced bell peppers and red onion.
- 8Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the vegetables and sauté them using a spatula for approximately two minutes, until slightly softened.
- 9Transfer the air-fried chicken from the air fryer basket into the pan with the sautéed vegetables.
- 10Thoroughly mix the chicken and vegetables together using the spatula and cook for one more minute to combine the flavors.
- 11Garnish the finished dish with a final squeeze of lime before serving.
