Ingredients
  • 500g boneless chicken breast
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • A pinch of salt (for vegetables)
  • Cooking spray
Method
  1. 1Place sliced chicken strips in a bowl and squeeze juice from half a lime over them.
  2. 2Pour the pre-mixed blend of paprika, jeera powder, red chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
  3. 3Thoroughly mix the chicken and spices by hand until evenly coated and the chicken turns a reddish-orange hue.
  4. 4Spray an air fryer basket with cooking oil, spread the marinated chicken strips evenly in a single layer, and spray with more cooking oil.
  5. 5Air fry the chicken at 190c for 10-11 minutes.
  6. 6While chicken is cooking, slice red and yellow bell peppers and red onion into thin strips.
  7. 7Place a non-stick pan on a gas stove, spray with cooking oil, and add the sliced bell peppers and red onion.
  8. 8Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the vegetables and sauté them using a spatula for approximately two minutes, until slightly softened.
  9. 9Transfer the air-fried chicken from the air fryer basket into the pan with the sautéed vegetables.
  10. 10Thoroughly mix the chicken and vegetables together using the spatula and cook for one more minute to combine the flavors.
  11. 11Garnish the finished dish with a final squeeze of lime before serving.
