Method

  4. 4Fry the bread "low and slow" until deep golden-brown and crispy on both sides, ensuring the oil penetrates the crumb.
  5. 5Remove the fried bread slices from the pan and place onto a plate.
  6. 6Vigorously rub the peeled garlic clove over the entire surface of each hot, fried bread slice to infuse it with garlic flavor.
  7. 7Generously sprinkle flaky sea salt over the garlic-rubbed bread before serving.
