Ingredients
  • 8 ounces orecchiette pasta
  • 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • Handful pearl mozzarella balls
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Method
  1. 1Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a boil and cook orecchiette pasta al dente according to package directions.
  2. 2Drain the cooked pasta.
  3. 3Toss the pasta with parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
  4. 4Air fry the seasoned pasta at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, tossing a couple of times, until crispy and golden.
  5. 5In a large bowl, whisk together ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, remaining salt, and remaining pepper until emulsified.
  6. 6Add halved grape tomatoes, thinly sliced fresh basil leaves, and pearl mozzarella balls to the dressing.
  7. 7Pour the air-fried pasta chips into the bowl with the Caprese ingredients.
  8. 8Toss all components gently to combine and serve immediately.
