Ingredients
- 8 ounces orecchiette pasta
- 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pint grape tomatoes
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- Handful pearl mozzarella balls
- ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Method
- 1Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a boil and cook orecchiette pasta al dente according to package directions.
- 2Drain the cooked pasta.
- 3Toss the pasta with parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
- 4Air fry the seasoned pasta at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, tossing a couple of times, until crispy and golden.
- 5In a large bowl, whisk together ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, remaining salt, and remaining pepper until emulsified.
- 6Add halved grape tomatoes, thinly sliced fresh basil leaves, and pearl mozzarella balls to the dressing.
- 7Pour the air-fried pasta chips into the bowl with the Caprese ingredients.
- 8Toss all components gently to combine and serve immediately.
