- Approximately 2-3 cups sweet corn kernels
- About 1 teaspoon butter
- About ½ teaspoon white salt
- About ½ teaspoon black salt
- Approximately ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- Approximately ½ teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
- Approximately ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- Juice from half a lemon (estimated 1-2 tablespoons)
- A small handful (1-2 tablespoons) fresh, chopped cilantro
Method
- 1Steam sweet corn kernels in a metal steamer insert placed over boiling water for 10 minutes.
- 2Carefully pour the hot steamed sweet corn kernels from the steamer into a white mixing bowl.
- 3Place a small pat of butter on top of the hot corn.
- 4Add white salt, black salt, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and chaat masala to the corn.
- 5Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the spiced corn.
- 6Add a scattering of fresh, chopped cilantro to the bowl.
- 7Use a spoon to thoroughly mix all the ingredients until the butter quickly melts and the spices and cilantro are evenly distributed.
- 8Spoon the finished sweet corn mix into small, individual white bowls for serving.
