  • Approximately 2-3 cups sweet corn kernels
  • About 1 teaspoon butter
  • About ½ teaspoon white salt
  • About ½ teaspoon black salt
  • Approximately ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • Approximately ½ teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
  • Approximately ½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • Juice from half a lemon (estimated 1-2 tablespoons)
  • A small handful (1-2 tablespoons) fresh, chopped cilantro
Method
  1. 1Steam sweet corn kernels in a metal steamer insert placed over boiling water for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Carefully pour the hot steamed sweet corn kernels from the steamer into a white mixing bowl.
  3. 3Place a small pat of butter on top of the hot corn.
  4. 4Add white salt, black salt, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and chaat masala to the corn.
  5. 5Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the spiced corn.
  6. 6Add a scattering of fresh, chopped cilantro to the bowl.
  7. 7Use a spoon to thoroughly mix all the ingredients until the butter quickly melts and the spices and cilantro are evenly distributed.
  8. 8Spoon the finished sweet corn mix into small, individual white bowls for serving.
