Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 bun
- 1 stem curry leaves
- 2 garlic cloves
- Chilli powder
- 1 green chilli (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- A little oil
Method
- 1Crush the peeled garlic cloves with chili powder using a mortar and pestle to form a coarse paste.
- 2Place a metal egg ring in a small frying pan, heat it until very hot, then add a small amount of cooking oil inside the egg ring.
- 3Crack one egg directly into the hot egg ring.
- 4Immediately sprinkle a pinch of salt over the egg, then carefully add the prepared chili-garlic paste on top of the egg yolk.
- 5Scatter chopped green chilies and fresh curry leaves over the egg.
- 6Cover the pan with a lid and cook the egg on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness.
- 7Gently remove the egg ring from the cooked egg.
- 8Slice the burger bun in half, then carefully lift the cooked egg with a spatula and place it on the bottom half of the bun.
- 9Add the top half of the bun to complete the egg burger and serve hot.
