Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bun
  • 1 stem curry leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Chilli powder
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • A little oil
Method
  1. 1Crush the peeled garlic cloves with chili powder using a mortar and pestle to form a coarse paste.
  2. 2Place a metal egg ring in a small frying pan, heat it until very hot, then add a small amount of cooking oil inside the egg ring.
  3. 3Crack one egg directly into the hot egg ring.
  4. 4Immediately sprinkle a pinch of salt over the egg, then carefully add the prepared chili-garlic paste on top of the egg yolk.
  5. 5Scatter chopped green chilies and fresh curry leaves over the egg.
  6. 6Cover the pan with a lid and cook the egg on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness.
  7. 7Gently remove the egg ring from the cooked egg.
  8. 8Slice the burger bun in half, then carefully lift the cooked egg with a spatula and place it on the bottom half of the bun.
  9. 9Add the top half of the bun to complete the egg burger and serve hot.
