Ingredients

  1. 1Pour melted brown butter into a mixing bowl, add mashed overripe bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly until combined.
  2. 2Add white flour to the wet mixture and gently mix with a spatula until a thick, cohesive batter forms.
  3. 3Transfer the batter into a round baking pan lined with parchment paper, spread evenly, and bake until golden brown.
  4. 4Once baked, invert the cake onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
  5. 5While the cake bakes, simmer maple syrup in a saucepan on the stove until bubbly.
  6. 6Add heavy cream, chopped dark chocolate, and cocoa powder to the simmering maple syrup mixture and whisk until it forms a smooth, glossy ganache.
