Ingredients
  • 8 oz 96% lean ground beef
  • Green-brown spice mix
  • Salt
  • 2 slices yellow American cheese
  • 1 large chicken egg
  • 2 English muffins
  • 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cholula hot sauce
  • Pinch of salt
Method
  1. 1Add a pre-ground spice mix and salt to the ground beef in a bowl.
  2. 2Mix the spices and salt thoroughly into the beef using hands.
  3. 3Divide the seasoned beef into two 4 oz patties and form them.
  4. 4Heat a non-stick griddle pan over a gas flame without added oil.
  5. 5Place one beef patty on the hot griddle and press it flat with parchment paper and a spatula (smash burger style).
  6. 6Flip the patty after cooking one side.
  7. 7Place a slice of yellow cheese on top of the cooked patty to melt.
  8. 8In a small bowl, combine light mayo, sriracha, chalula, and a pinch of salt.
  9. 9Whisk the sauce mixture until smooth and orange-red.
  10. 10Remove the beef patty and crack an egg directly onto the same griddle, seasoning it with salt.
  11. 11Toast the English muffins.
  12. 12Assemble the sandwich with the toasted muffin, beef patty, melted cheese, fried egg, and spicy mayonnaise sauce.
