Ingredients
  • 12 ounces hoagie rolls
  • 7 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1.5-2 cups water

  1. 1Cube hoagie rolls into large chunks and set aside.
  2. 2In a large bowl, gently whisk 7 large eggs.
  3. 3Add 1 cup sugar, ¾ tsp cinnamon powder, 2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1 cup heavy whipping cream to eggs; whisk well.
  4. 4Stir in 1 stick melted butter (not hot).
  5. 5Add 1.5 to 2 cups water and mix thoroughly.
  6. 6Add cubed bread to the liquid mixture and gently fold until liquid is absorbed.
  7. 7Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  8. 8Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  9. 9Pour bread pudding mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
  10. 10Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  11. 11Let rest for 5 minutes after baking.
