Method
- 1Prepare the filling by combining shredded coconut, salt, chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, and sliced almonds.
- 2Cut circular discs from white bread slices, removing the crusts.
- 3Place a spoonful of filling onto each bread disc, fold in half, and press edges to seal.
- 4Arrange the filled bread vadas on a baking tray.
- 5Toast the vadas in a toaster oven until light golden-brown on both sides.
- 6Briefly soak the toasted vadas in water, then gently press out excess water.
- 7Arrange the softened vadas on a serving plate.
- 8Pour a generous amount of plain yogurt over the vadas to cover them.
- 9Sprinkle with salt and red chili powder, then drizzle with tamarind chutney and green chutney.
