Ingredients
- 200 grams black sesame seeds
- 150 grams jaggery
Method
- 1Place a metal kadai on a gas stove over a medium flame.
- 2Pour 200 grams of black sesame seeds into the hot kadai and dry-roast for a few minutes until fragrant, continuously stirring to prevent burning.
- 3Transfer the hot roasted sesame seeds from the kadai into a larger metal bowl to cool down completely.
- 4Once cooled, transfer a portion of the roasted black sesame seeds into a mixer grinder jar.
- 5Add 150 grams of crumbled jaggery to the same mixer grinder jar on top of the sesame seeds.
- 6Grind the mixture until the sesame seeds and jaggery combine into a coarse, sticky, and clumpy mixture.
- 7Empty the ground mixture from the mixer jar onto a large, flat metal plate.
- 8Use hands to compress small portions of the mixture into firm, spherical laddus.
