Ingredients
  • 200 grams black sesame seeds
  • 150 grams jaggery
Method
  1. 1Place a metal kadai on a gas stove over a medium flame.
  2. 2Pour 200 grams of black sesame seeds into the hot kadai and dry-roast for a few minutes until fragrant, continuously stirring to prevent burning.
  3. 3Transfer the hot roasted sesame seeds from the kadai into a larger metal bowl to cool down completely.
  4. 4Once cooled, transfer a portion of the roasted black sesame seeds into a mixer grinder jar.
  5. 5Add 150 grams of crumbled jaggery to the same mixer grinder jar on top of the sesame seeds.
  6. 6Grind the mixture until the sesame seeds and jaggery combine into a coarse, sticky, and clumpy mixture.
  7. 7Empty the ground mixture from the mixer jar onto a large, flat metal plate.
  8. 8Use hands to compress small portions of the mixture into firm, spherical laddus.
